Isn’t it strange the way a song can arouse a plethora of emotions and elicit a reaction that is both universal and highly personal? Music has been on my mind because of a song by Gotye ft. Kimbra called ‘Somebody that I used to know‘. I feel like I can relate to this song and I have probably listened to it about 20 times in the last two days. My interpretation of the song is that it is wrought with pain and regret but that there is also a twisted sort of hope. I think the song is great because it can be interpreted in many ways… have a listen and decide for yourself.
